February, You're Making Me Blush: Blush and Gold

Hello Friends!

Today I just wanted to write about color. Since we are moving into February, I thought it only necessary to write about warm colors. Colors that make me think about being warm, or being in love! These colors bring me back to my wedding day and of course all my bridesmaids!

January was a cold month, full of New York snow adventure (Juno) and our first official snow day. Now, it's time to warm my palette and really get into some colors that make me feel warm and romantic.

I recently saw interior design inspiration with my color accents. I like pink, just in moderation and simplicity. Be careful! Sometimes you can overdo it. Having a New York tiny apartment makes you really appreciate the small hints you have, and that means less is more.

I like a lot of neutral colors. These are great because you can always switch smaller pieces out and add a simple pop of color here and there. Neutral colors meaning grey, cream and white. Brass is so chic right now! I really enjoy minimalism in dress and interior design. That means you don't have to constantly switch up your natural surroundings, just add something here and there if you need a pick-me-up.

Besides interior design, I want to make my cheeks pop with a hint of cream or powder blush.if you don't have a blush on you, opt for a pink lipstick and rub on cheeks. Do it the old fashioned way! I'm telling you, they market cream blush now, where do you think that came from? Black is my go to accessory, so I really like a little black skirt with opaque black tights and maybe a powder blush turtle neck or sweater.

I visited a floral store on 59th street and grabbed some cream hydrangeas to perk up my winter blues. You don't really need to overwhelm yourself with pink, just place in in areas that need a little glow. Make yourself glow as well!
